SBG Names James Doty General Manager of WJAC-TV in Johnstown/Altoona, Pennsylvania

SINCLAIR NAMES JAMES DOTY GENERAL MANAGER OF WJAC-TV IN JOHNSTOWN/ALTOONA, PENNSYLVANIA

Johnstown/Altoona, PA (January 10, 2014) – Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced that James Doty has been named General Manager of WJAC-TV (NBC 6) in the Johnstown/Altoona, Pennsylvania market. The announcement was made by Steve Pruett, CoChief Operating Officer of Sinclair’s television group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Pruett said, “We are pleased to have Jim join the team at WJAC. Jim brings a long career in sales management, leading local and national sales teams. We believe his experience will be a valuable contribution to this market.”

“I am very excited to lead the team at WJAC-TV,” commented Mr. Doty. “The station is a leader in central Pennsylvania, and I look forward to expanding the relationship with our viewers and local businesses.”

Mr. Doty has over 25 years of sales and management experience. Since May of 2012, he has worked as General Sales Manager at KPTM (FOX) and KXVO (CW) in Omaha, Nebraska. From March 2010 to May 2012, he was Director of Sales at WCIA (CBS) with Nexstar Broadcasting Group. For over 8 years he was the Director of Sales for WPTY (ABC) and WLMT (CW) in Memphis, TN and WJKT (FOX) in Jackson, TN. Prior to that, he held various other positions including Local Sales Manager for KTXH (UPN) in Houston, TX, General Sales Manager/National Sales Manager at WHTM (ABC) in Harrisburg, PA and Account Executive at various other broadcasters. Mr. Doty graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Dayton.
