BALTIMORE, MD (August 9, 2018) – Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (“Sinclair,” “Company”) (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced today that it received a termination notice of its Merger Agreement from Tribune Media Company (“Tribune”). In response, the Company subsequently has withdrawn with prejudice its FCC applications to acquire Tribune and filed with the Administrative Law Judge a notice of withdrawal of the applications and motion to terminate the hearing.

Redding, CA (August 1, 2018) – Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBGI) today announced that its television station, KRCR-TV in Redding, CA has partnered with the Salvation Army to aid short- and long-term disaster relief efforts for the victims of the CARR fire, with a mission to raise money to provide evacuees with basic necessities including child care items and toiletries. KRCR and its sister stations will focus their on-air efforts on August 2nd between 5:00a.m.-9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., as well as continued digital and social efforts, to spread the word on how viewers can get involved. Moreover, Sinclair will promote the effort across all of its stations. Donations are currently being accepted on CareForCarr.org. All funds will be used locally for the CARR fire victims.

WASHINGTON POST AND CHICAGO TRIBUNE FORCED TO ISSUE CORRECTIONS FOR FALSE REPORTING REGARDING FCC DECISION ON SINCLAIR MERGER

Baltimore, MD (July 26, 2018) – Sinclair announced today it sent letters to the Washington Post and Chicago Tribune requesting corrections and apologies for significant errors in their reporting on the FCC’s decision involving the proposed merger between Sinclair Broadcast Group and Tribune Media. Both media outlets omitted a key word from the FCC statement to drastically distort the reality of the finding and reported that Sinclair had been found to lack candor, when in fact the FCC had merely referred the matter to an Administrative Law Judge to determine whether or not there had been a lack of candor. Both publications also did not refer to public statements from Sinclair which expressly denied that any lack of candor had occurred.
