Sinclair Broadcast Group And Frontier Communications Reach Agreement

SEATTLE and PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 9, 2017 — Sinclair Broadcast Group (“Sinclair” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced today that it has reached an agreement with Frontier Communications (“Frontier”) for the carriage of Tennis Channel and of the Company’s broadcast television stations in Seattle, Washington (KOMO-TV (ABC)) and Portland, Oregon (KATU-TV (ABC)), as well as several stations in markets where Frontier recently launched subscription video services.

“We are pleased to have reached this agreement with Frontier and regret any inconvenience to Frontier’s subscribers as a result of the lack of carriage since January 1st,” stated Barry Faber, Sinclair’s EVP of Distribution & Network Relations. “Frontier subscribers will once again enjoy the live, local news and popular programming airing on Sinclair stations, including both KOMO and KATU, as well as access to Tennis Channel’s exclusive programming.”
