WBFF in Baltimore Honored with 17 Awards, Including Best Evening Newscast

WJLA in Washington DC Honored with 12 Awards, Including Best Investigative News

BALTIMORE – Sinclair is pleased to announce WBFF in Baltimore and WJLA in Washington DC have been honored by The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Science with a total of 29 Capital Emmy awards. The Capital Emmys honor the best journalism in the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC television and media community.

WBFF was nominated for 39 awards, and won 17, with Project Baltimore, the special investigative reporting unit of WBFF, taking home 7 of those awards. WJLA was nominated for 26 awards and won 12.

“The recognition of WBFF and WJLA with Emmy awards for their investigative and accountability reporting is a testament to our journalists’ unwavering commitment to asking tough questions and delivering impactful stories, which plays a crucial role in our mission to serve the public interest.
