SBG Names Tim Perry GM in Richmond

Richmond, VA (July 22, 2014) – Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced that Tim Perry has been named General Manager of WRLH-TV (FOX) in the Richmond/Petersburg, Virginia market. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, CoChief Operating Officer of Sinclair’s television group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Marks said, “Tim is an experienced broadcaster with a track record of strengthening a station’s value in its market to both viewers and advertisers. He has a history of building multi-platform brands and creating strategic relationships within the station’s community, which we look forward to building upon.”

Mr. Perry most recently and since 2008 served as General Manager for KOIN (CBS) in Portland, OR. Prior to that and from 2003, he was General Manager of KSBY (NBC/CW) in the Santa Barbara/Santa Maria/San Luis Obispo, CA market. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Perry was the General Manager of KOLO (ABC) in Reno, NV and from 1997 was the General Manager of KKFX (FOX) in the Santa Barbara/Santa Maria/San Luis Obispo, CA market. From 1995 to 1997, he was the General Manager of WPBN/WTOM (NBC) in Traverse City/Cadillac, MI, a station currently owned by Sinclair. Mr. Perry has held various other positions during his career, including Director of Sales and Marketing, Creative Services Director, Operations Manager, Creative Director and Marketing Director. Ms. Perry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio, Television & Film from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
