SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP AND DISH NETWORK REACH RETRANSMISSION CONSENT AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPLE
Baltimore, MD (August 26, 2015) – Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI), (the “Company,” “Sinclair”) announced that they have reached an agreement in principle with the DISH Network (“DISH”) for the carriage of the Company’s broadcast television stations. The parties have entered into a two-week extension in order to allow time to document the agreement.
“We are pleased to announce that we were able to come to an agreement in principle with DISH, and we regret any inconvenience that was caused to the DISH subscribers as a result of the short blackout,” stated Barry Faber, Sinclair’s EVP/General Counsel and chief negotiator.
