NEW BERN, N.C., Dec. 20, 2017 — Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) (“Sinclair”) announced that Matt Bowman has been named General Manager of WCTI (ABC) in the New Bern/Greenville/ Jacksonville, North Carolina market. Mr. Bowman will also be responsible for the oversight of Sinclair’s provision of services to WYDO (FOX) under a joint sale agreement. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, EVP & Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair’s television group.

In making the announcement, Mr. Marks said, “Matt has been with Sinclair for over six years in a variety of management roles, from Director of Sales to his most recent leadership role as General Manager of our stations in the Greensboro/Winston Salem, North Carolina market. His sales and management experience will benefit our newly added stations and provide for a smooth continuity in leadership and operations.”

Mr. Bowman has been General Manager at Sinclair’s Greensboro/Winston Salem stations, WXLV (ABC) and WMYV (MyNetworkTV), for nearly 2 years. Prior to that he served as Director of Sales at WCYB/WEMT/CW in Tri-Cities, TN/VA. He first joined Sinclair in July 2011, as Director of Sales in Greensboro for over four years. Mr. Bowman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
