NEW YORK, NY – August 27, 2026 – The Intersection, the sports and entertainment podcast network from SMAC Productions—Constance Schwartz-Morini and Michael Strahan’s premiere entertainment and content studio—and AMP Media, today announced its first podcast, Get TO The Point. Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens and acclaimed comedian, writer and producer Chris Spencer will co-host the twice-weekly sports and pop culture video podcast.
Owens and Spencer will pair their larger-than-life personalities, sharp wit, and unfiltered perspectives to create a dynamic forum for candid conversations spanning sports, pop culture, and trending headlines. A rotation of candid, outspoken celebrities and athletes will join each episode, driving unpredictable, authentic, and humorous discussions. The first episode will launch on Tuesday, September 1st on all podcast platforms, with new episodes following every Thursday and Tuesday.
TV host Joy Taylor, 4x NBA champion John Salley, and comedian Jo Koy will be among the first guests. Each episode will focus on all things sports, culture, and entertainment, including headline deep dives, debates on hot takes, and other interactive segments.
“Anybody who knows me knows I don’t do quiet, and I definitely don't hold back,” said Owens. “Chris and I are coming to Get TO The Point twice a week with the same intensity that I brought to the game every Sunday. We’re putting sports, culture, and entertainment on total blast. Get your popcorn ready!”
“Comedy and sports have always been survival skills for our culture. They're how we process life, talk trash, and laugh through the stress,” said Spencer. “There’s no one I’d rather be partnering on this podcast with than a legend like T.O., who, like me, has worked across so many different aspects of the entertainment industry. Viewers can expect just as many inside stories from us as our guests.”
A Pro Football Hall of Famer, cultural icon, and entrepreneur, Terrell Owens is one of the most electrifying wide receivers in NFL history. Across his 15-season career—spanning the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills, and Bengals—the six-time Pro Bowler and five-time First-Team All-Pro redefined the position with unmatched athleticism and unforgettable celebrations. By his retirement, he ranked second all-time in receiving yards and third in touchdown catches, cementing a legendary legacy that helped shape the entertainment side of the modern game.
Beyond football, Owens has expanded his influence across media, business, and pop culture with ventures like his clothing line, and appearances on Any Given Sunday, Dancing with the Stars, and his own VH1 reality series, The T.O. Show. Today, whether competing in nationwide pickleball tournaments or preparing for his upcoming Prime Video documentary, he continues to showcase the relentless drive, energy, and personality that make him one of sports’ most enduring figures.
Chris Spencer is one of Hollywood’s most versatile comedic voices, having built an acclaimed 30-year career as a multi-hyphenate actor, writer, producer, director, host, best-selling author, and stand-up comedian. A true multi-hyphenate, he co-created and executive produced BET and Netflix's NAACP Image Award-winning hit series Real Husbands of Hollywood starring Kevin Hart, wrote and executive produced Freeform's hit series Grown-ish, and has headlined writing teams for some of Hollywood’s biggest award shows. Most recently, he hosted and executive produced Vice TV’s acclaimed documentary series Black Comedy in America alongside Tiffany Haddish and Ryan Davis, and released his latest Hulu stand-up special, G.O.A.T. Adjacent, further cementing his reputation as one of comedy's sharpest and most enduring performers.
Spencer’s additional past credits include his Showtime special Chris Spencer…The Other Chris; his television appearances on Black-ish, Being Mary Jane, Black Love, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Def Comedy Jam; and his late-night talk show, VIBE. His film credits include The Sixth Man, Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, Black Dynamite, Bad Ass, and Sin.
AMP Media will add Get TO The Point to AMP’s lineup of podcasts including The Triple Option with Urban Meyer, Mark Ingram II and Rob Stone, Unfiltered Soccer with Landon Donovan and Tim Howard, Throwbacks with Matt Leinart and Jerry Ferrara, Post Moves with Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston, Cousins with Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady and Style of Play with Julie Ertz and Kealia Watt.
